What is the course about?
You call it a course while Rita calls it an adventure. According to Oxford English Dictionary, "adventure" is :
(1) an unusual, exciting or dangerous experience, journey or series of events
(2) excitement and the willingness to take risks, try new ideas, etc.
Why is an adventure exciting? How to make an adventure exciting?
Unusual and exciting experiences are designed for you to experience. It is a journey, which implies it's a process. What happens in the the process is more important than souvenirs you purchase along the way. In an adventure, you can't just sit and listen but arise, explore, and take action. You are expected to try new ideas, take risks and act!
Cities and communities are our playgrounds. Your mission is to find the intersection of yourself, this course and the real world out of the classroom. Try to figure out and build the city/community you desire to see.
This adventure is going to lead us to places we have never been to. What will happen? What will we see? Nobody knows. The success of the adventure lies in how we explore together and what we have experienced in the process. Please keep your minds open and let's enjoy the adventure together.
